Morning

As morning breaks
I think of you
Smiling in the dawn
Awaiting each new day
Feeling you close to me
Watching you sleep
So softly and gently
Just before I kiss you
And awake you with such passion

And thinking fondly
Of the days and nights
We spend together
With such passion felt
None is quite as sweet
As that first morning moment
When I look in your eyes
And you see me right there
With you
Still

The Dance

Morning breaks
And I see you once again
Standing there in front of me
Smiling with your eyes
Showing me how much you care
Taking you in my arms
Feeling your warmth
Feeling you so close to me

Seems just yesterday
We were strangers
On distant shores
But have we really ever been
That far from each other
Knowing you for what seems
Like forever
Always

Awaiting each new day
Finding the peace I so cherish
Finding the kindness I need
So very much
Finding the strength inside myself
Finding all of this
Through you
With you

You sometimes confuse me
But that would be the Dance
To learn to accept myself
To learn to accept you
To learn to trust you and me
I hope never to understand you
So that I may always revel
In searching your heart
Feeling that curiosity
That mystique that engulfs me
That sends me deep
To a very special place
Where only a Butch
And a Femme can go
As we dance our Dance
